About

The Runnymede Trust is an independent race equality think-tank founded in 1968 by barrister and politician Anthony Lester and campaigner Jim Rose. Its founding director was the Indian academic Dipak Nandy, who was also a member of the Campaign Against Racial Discrimination. Its work has included influencing legislation such as the Race Relations Act of 1976 and producing important research on race and discrimination.
