The 1906 general election saw defeats for three Asian candidates in London: M. M. Bhownaggree, Conservative, at North-East Bethnal Green; Manmath Mallik, Liberal, at St George's, Hanover Square; Dadabhai Naoroji, Independent Liberal, at Lambeth North.
